Matt Rigby started acting at the age of 45. His first role was in the chorus for Farnworth Performing Arts Company's production of Carrousel at The Albert Halls, Bolton. He then moved into theatre acting playing Gerald Croft in Farnworth Little Theatre 2014 production of An Inspector Calls, directed by Edwina Freeman. In this, his first main character role, he was runner up in the best actor in a drama category. He has worked constantly since appearing as Sparkie in Sergeant Musgraves Dance for Bolton Little Theatre, Major Alastair Wimbourne in Conduct Unbecoming with The Marco Players, The Butler in Out of Sight Out Of Murder with the Phoenix Company and his first lead role as Eric Swan in Cash on Delivery back at Bolton Little Theatre. His schedule is spread out over the year and he usually appears in 4 productions a year. His first filmed role was in the pilot episode of Back in 2 Mins in September 2015
