Eric L. Hepperle is an American actor, musician, entertainer, writer and storyteller. ART: Born in Waterloo, IA, Eric L. Hepperle first got his first taste of the limelight at age nine, when his pencil sketch "Hand and Shadow" was put on display at the Grout Museum of History and Science. At age eleven he did some modeling for Von Maur. Then at age fifteen, he became a self-taught drummer after sitting in with "Robert Johnson's Blues Band", where he was the youngest member. At the same time, he was learning guitar from instructional videos on-tape (VCR cassettes from Blockbuster Video) and tablature books. Eric also had the great honor of portraying President Abraham Lincoln in a parade, representing a Civil War reenactment group, of which is aunt and uncle were members. SINGING: At age twenty he began honing his vocal chops by performing in karaoke bars singing a variety of musical genres by musicians including Three Doors Down, Disturbed, Tim McGraw, The Guess Who, Garth Brooks, Led Zeppelin, The Temptations, Michael Jackson, Wilson Pickett, and more. He even performed a few songs by female artists including Martina McBride's "Broken Wing", bringing the house to tears on several occasions. ACTING: Stage In 2010 he appeared in his first play, a Christ-centered rendition of the tortoise and hare called "The Race", at the now-defunct Kaio church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Television Eric began working in film and television after moving to Portland, Oregon in 2012. In 2014 Eric got his big break in show-business, appearing in his first background role as one of Lamia's henchman in episode two of TNT's "The Librarians", then in its first season. He continued working as an extra (part-time) in the Portland area from 2014 to 2017, also appearing on the hit fantasy series "Grimm". Eric gained screen-time and can be seen in these episodes: And the Sword in the Stone (2014) Clear and Wesen Danger (2015) Into the Schwarzwald (2016) Into the Schwarzwald (2016) Film Eric broke into the film business on the independent feature Cold Sun (2016) where he wore many hats. There he learned about producing and directing from friend and director Isaac Medeiros. He also had an uncredited role as a clubgoer in the Victoria Smurfit vehicle Best Fake Friends (2016) Best Fake Friends. He currently lives in southern Alabama with his wife and four cats where he plays guitar in the church choir and writes for the local newspaper. He will publish his first book "Confessions of Talented and Gifted Dropout" this year (2018). FUTURE: Moving forward, Eric hopes to be involved in historical reenactment from medieval Europe and the Viking era. He also is looking forward to an opportunity to play a wizard or spiritual leader in a historical documentary. Only time will tell if he will get his wish.
