Øyvind Olav Sydow Kleiveland was born in Bergen, Hordaland on the 20th of July, 1971, as the youngest of six siblings. He has three brothers and two sisters. From a young age, Øyvind was an active kid. Various sports and theater experience in his young teens, and this led to a Norwegian Championship in Discus throw in 1988. He also has Bronze medals in the Norwegian Championships, both as a junior and a senior, in shot put. As a 19-year old weight lifter, Kleiveland squatted 800 lbs, bench pressed 330 lbs. and dead-lifted 760 lbs. He still lifts weights, but spends most of his training on the roads and in nature, walking a lot. He has played volleyball, trained self-defense and been involved in security work for more than 25 years: Bouncer, Hotel security, Uniformed security, Crowd control and has worked as a Bodyguard for politicians, cultural personalities as well as protected musical artists and bands. Kleiveland is an avid writer, having worked for many years as a journalist, and has published five books, as well as translated books from English to Norwegian. Kleiveland has been involved in the media industry since 2006, as an extra in several commercials, participated in film school projects, music videos as well as having written, produced, directed and edited his own short move, called "Moral Guardians". Presently, Kleiveland works for Channel Ten Norway (Kanal 10 Norge), a TV-company, as a subtitle-coordinator, proof-reader and marketing. In his spare time, he dabbles in short movies, mostly writing scripts and being behind camera.
