Kris Taylor was born in England in 1976. He has an Honours Degree in Modern History, specialising in the end of the British Empire in South East Asia. Since moving to Ireland he has appeared as Father Augustine in the RTE 1916 documentary 'Ar Son Na Poblachta', as 'James' in the short film 'The Banshee', and has appeared in advertising for Aer Lingus and the Irish National Lottery. His most challenging project to date was playing a murderer from Boston in the CBS Reality series 'Trace of Evil'. Kris is a proud member of Equity Ireland and spent a year on the Executive Committee. His proudest moment was discussing a documentary that he and President Michael D. Higgins both appeared in while a guest at Áras an Uachtaráin during an unveiling of the artwork commemorating 'The Plough And The Stars'. Kris has also appeared as a background extra in several historical documentaries for the BBC, Channel 5 (UK) and Irish TV channels RTE and TG4. Other background work includes the popular History Channel series 'Vikings' as well as 'Game of Thrones', 'Into The Badlands', 'Striking Out', 'Red Water', 'Red Rock', 'Fair City' for RTE and the Desert Wolf Productions series 'Penny Dreadful'. He has shot background scenes for the Feature Films 'Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool' and the Mel Gibson film 'The Professor and The Madman'. He has been cast as Marshall 'Skully' Donovan in the short film and series 'End in Tears'. Kris has also been known to live stream on the YouTube platform. He has streamed twice for 24 hours to raise money for the Irish National Childrens Cancer Charity 'Aoibheann's Pink Tie' and also helped run 2 Viking themed Festivals for the same charity in Ireland. In April 2020 Kris lost his only child to Revesz Syndrome after a year long battle with the degenerative condition. Thank you.
