Bradley Bethel was born in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2004 and eventually became a high school English teacher. Bradley moved to North Carolina in 2011 and began making films in 2015. He became the director of Carrboro Film Fest in 2019 and rebranded the festival to showcase exclusively Southern films.
