Palmyra Lamya Mattner was born and raised on the Gulf island of Bahrain where she attended a British international school. She is of Syrian and German heritage (mother is Syrian and father is German). Palmyra later moved to New York City where she studied acting at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting's three-year conservatory program.
