Sam Al Esai

Sam Al Esai is Yemeni born producer, director, writer, and actor out of Toronto, Canada. After graduating from Humber College's Theatre Performance program in 2014, Sam decided performance wasn't enough and began venturing into the world of self-produced projects, writing, and directing. He is co-founder of the production company GMT Pictures, co-creator of the YouTube channel HooRaCha and acts as a producer, director, writer, and editor for both. In 2016, HooRaCha was a officially selected for screening at LA WebFest as well received a nomination for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy. Outside of GMT Pictures and HooRaCha, Sam can be seen in commercials, TV shows, heard voice acting in radio spots, and yes, is even still seen on stage. In 2015, Sam acted in and co-wrote the holiday musical La Chasse Galerie, which went on to make it onto many 'must-see' lists in Toronto, and won the 2016 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance.
