Tom holds the James Garner Chair in Acting and is the Director of the Helmerich School of Drama at the University of Oklahoma. Starting as a child actor in the DFW area, 40 years later he has successfully served as a performer, producer, director, or combat choreographer on over 350 theatrical productions. The only actor to have portrayed two of Oklahoma's native legends, his award winning performance in the feature film, Pearl, playing the aviation pioneer, Wiley Post, and his performances as "Oklahoma's favorite son", Will Rogers, make him right at home in the Sooner state. Recent film credits include Wildlife, The Veil, Pearl, and The Art of Kissing. New York and regional theatre credits include: the title role in Hamlet, Hotspur in King Henry IV, p1, Hal in Henry IV, p1, Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew, Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire, the Stage Manager in Our Town, Will Rogers in The Will Rogers Follies, Werner Heisenberg in Copenhagen, Silvio in PVT Wars, Jonathan Harker in Dracula: The Journals of Jonathan Harker, Clifford in Sideman, Cliff in Cabaret, Jonathon in Snakebit, Philip in The Lion in Winter and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet. He is a graduate of the University of Texas MFA Acting Program and is professionally represented by the Switzer Talent Agency.
