Darnell Fayard Sheffield was born in Biloxi, MS to Bobby and Starlette Fayard. She had an avid love for the fine arts at a young age. Darnell danced from the time she was 2 years old until she was in her early 20's. She was involved with stage performances and athletic. Darnell sang in many productions and was a member of the chorus where she competed with an ensemble. During her senior year in high school, she was cast to dance in the film "Stone Cold" starring Brian Bosworth, Lance Henriksen, and William Forsythe. Darnell has a Creative Writing and Special Publishing in Children's Literature degree. She continues to work on a manuscript that was lost in Hurricane Katrina. However, the opportunity arose for her to write an adaptation of Michael D. Anglin's "Iniquity" and "Consequences". Darnell continues to edit manuscripts for many published authors. She loves working not only in front of the camera, but behind it as well. She studied with Jeremy London of the cult classic "Mallrats" and television shows such as "Party of Five" and "7th Heaven." Darnell Fayard Sheffield is the owner/founder of Native Dolphin Book and Film.
