Justin Marre was born in Santa Barbara, California but spent most all of his life in Texas. After leaving the military in 2010, he realized he had two goals in life. Get a degree in meteorology and get into making videos. From his early teen years, Justin had the dream to make a life around professional weather education videos that were so easy to understand that even a toddler could get it. By going into film work, he believes this will give him enough experience to learn what will work with audiences across the world. In regards to film specifically, Justin has always been amazed with how they are made. His number one inspiration in the industry continues to be director Christopher Nolan. While Justin has always dreamed of working with Mr. Nolan, meeting him in person would be just as wonderful. The Batman movies and more notably, Inception, is what led Justin to his desire of directing. There are others in the industry as well, who have been an influence. John Schwartzman, Michael Bay, Hans Zimmer, Steven Spielberg, and countless actors. While in film school, Justin was highly influenced by his teacher, Gray Frederickson, producer of the Godfather movies, Apocalypse Now, The Outsiders, and more. Justin's first experience on a set was when he helped as a cinematographer as well as grip and other small roles on a student's capstone, known as "Grace Notes." Later down the road, he got to work as boom operator for "The Break," a short film by directed by Eric Kuritz. His directorial debut came with "The Super Swell Berkowski," prior to his career starting. In January 2017, Justin opened his own company, Fickle Films LLC, in Oklahoma. Before he could begin building up a company reputation, his career took off flying, in mid February of the same year. It was instantaneous success as Justin got so busy that he was literally unable to have a day job anymore. At the pace and speed it all happened, it's been nothing but non stop since then and Justin has never once looked back. The achievements within his own personal life has been made largely possible because of his career in this industry. Although Justin's primary passion is directing, he also has a big love for producing. In fact, Justin has been secretly developing projects of his own, which includes a very ambitious documentary series, where he is working as director and producer. However, while Justin has certain love toward these two areas of interests, he has always been open to being whatever a production needs. Just like he got his start in doing behind the scenes for a class project in film school, he knows that the smallest part can lead to the bigger opportunities life has to offer.
