Katherine Hudgens

Originally from the state of Texas, screenwriter Katherine (Kat) Hudgens has an associate of arts degree as well as a diploma from Vancouver Film School's Writing for Film and Television Program. Growing up in a small town, Kat always felt like she was trapped in a boring world and longed to go on epic adventures. Through science fiction and fantasy she was able to escape her mundane reality for brief periods of time. She fell in love with shows such Stargate SG-1 (1997), Firefly (2002), and Sanctuary (2008). She attends fan conventions to network with other fans like herself and let out her inner geek. Her favorite event is in London, where she meets up with fandom friends from all over the world. She's an avid supporter of the charity Sanctuary for Kids, as well as an active member of the Women in Film and Television Vancouver chapter. Her goals include being a staff writer for a science fiction TV show and eventually becoming a show-runner.
