Kelly Nitchie is a Canadian actor who was born in Surrey, British Columbia, on September 11th, 1982 and moved to Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 5. It was in Calgary where Kelly had his first experience acting, landing a 'significant role' as the Owl Clock in his grade 9 play the "Nut Cracker". Kelly returned to BC to play Junior hockey after high school and following his retirement from competitive hockey, he enrolled at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and completed a degree in Human Kinetics. Although he was always interested in pursuing his career as a professional actor, Kelly did not officially start his actor training until after he completed his education, worked as a Kinesiologist, and fulfilled his entrepreneurial spirit by starting up a few successful small businesses. Kelly has been truly blessed to have many successful professional actors within his community and circle of friends who have played a significant role in re-sparking the passion to express himself through acting. At the outset of his acting journey, Kelly knew he wanted to learn everything he could about the art of acting and embraced every opportunity to do so. Kelly enrolled in full-time classes at "Company of Rogues Actors' Studio" in Calgary, AB. where he has studied for the past 3 years. Seeking a strong and versatile focus, Kelly has studied an array of core fundamentals including; Meisner technique, Shakespeare, Movement, Voice, and various Advanced Film and Scene study classes. The past three years of studious dedication are officially 'paying off' as Kelly has recently been casted for various feature films, indie films, shorts, web series, and commercials, with his most recent part being "Kelly" (total coincidence), in the upcoming Feature Film "Red Hollow" filming in 2017.
