Paul Zimmermann is a one of a kind musician, with the ability to work in a myriad of genres with ease and integrity, from folk to rock, theatre to jazz. After studying acting at Northern Illinois Univ. & The Goodman School of Drama and Vocal Performance at the American Conservatory of Music, Paul joined the thriving Chicago music scene, where he shared the stage with such musical greats as Jim Hines(Brian Wilson), Bob Lizik(Brian Wilson/Jeff Beck), Rob Williams and Dave Derge(Richard Thompson), among many others. During this time period, he was also traveling the world working as a singer/dancer in corporate productions as well as on stage in the Chicago area. Relocating to New York City, he worked with musical luminaries Bobby McFerrin, David Byrne and The New York Voices and composed/performed with avant garde a capella groups DuoVoce & Mouth Music. Paul leads The Z Orchestra, one of Chicago's premier Society/Dance bands has been privileged to perform alongside vocalists Dee Alexander(Chicago Jazz Musician of the Year '07), Joan Collasso(Emmy Award winner), Sean Christopher(Sonia Dada, Nicholas Tremulis Orchestra), Yvonne Gage(Kindred The Family Soul), Michael Scott(Sonia Dada), Michael Harvey(Steely Dan & Donald Fagen) and the late Perrian Jordan. Paul is a much sought after corporate speaker and continues his career as an on-camera talent as well. In early 2014, Paul was seen on Mind Games, an ABC series starring Christian Slater and Steve Zahn. His solo recording debut, Slice of Life, a collaborative project with Producer/Arranger Paul Langford, is scheduled for release in late 2015.
