Ziad Ek is an Egyptian-Canadian actor based in Toronto, ON. He got his first professional job right out of school on the Canadian hit sitcom Kim's Convenience in which he recurs as Omar. Ziad graduated with a BFA in Acting from the Ryerson School of Performance ('18). He is fluent in French and English, and can also speak a little Egyptian Arabic dialect. Ziad is an immigrant, having moved to Montréal from Cairo in 1998 at the age of 2, and he is proud to be part of enriching the Canadian cultural landscape with his nuanced perspective of society as an Arab Canadian.
