Daniel Student is an actor, writer, director, and producer who moved to Los Angeles in 2015. As an actor, he has co-starred on Three Days to Live on the Oxygen Network and the nationally syndicated show Real Justice With Judge Karen, and is a series regular in Boujetto, which can be found on YouTube. Notable lead roles he has played include an autistic adult trying to transition to independence in Eli (NYC Indie Film Award Best Actor Diamond Award), a pornography dp coping with the announcement that the world is about to end in Hot Set (Best Experimental Film, Myrtle Beach International Film Festival), and a mafia boss saying goodbye to his dying girlfriend in Light. He has studied with the Groundlings, Kalmenson & Kalmenson, Killian's Commercial Workshop, Margie Haber Studio, and Upright Citizens Brigade. As a writer has studied with show-runner Todd Waldman (Single by 30), staff writer Pat Charles (Iron Fist, Sons of Anarchy, Bones), and radio producer Bob Carlson (KCRW's Unfictional.) He received his B.A. in Film from Vassar College, and was the former Director of the Steve Yeager Young Filmmaker's Workshop. He directed and edited the short film, More Happy, which screened at the PHW Filmmakers' Series in 2017. He co-produced that film and the short form mini-series Who Does It Better?, under Student of Film Productions. Previous to moving to Los Angeles, he worked in the professional theater in Philadelphia for ten years, where he directed over 30 productions, and was lauded for "rapidly proving himself a young director of range and vision" by the Philadelphia Inquirer. During that time, he served as Producing Artistic Director of the historic Plays & Players Theatre, where under his leadership the organization tripled its operating budget. He also created and produced the popular comic book based sketch comedy show Superheroes Who Are Super!, which won "Best In Philly" from Philadelphia Magazine. He has written or co-written three comedy storytelling shows, including his one man show "The Daniel Student Gay Porn Viewing Party."
