Adi Wojaczek was born in Upper Silesia (Poland) and came to Düsseldorf (Germany) with his family in 1987. He began studying film direction in 2008 at the Ruhrakademie Schwerte. His biggest success was in 2015 when he won at the "99Fire Films Award" during the Berlinale, with his short film "Malou". In 2016 his short film "Die Mauer/The Wall" qualified for the 89. Academy Awards 2017.
