Cliff grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and attended tiny Unity Lutheran grade school. In third grade, over Cliff's vehement objections, his teacher, Mrs. Pixley, selected him and few other boys to be backup ladybug dancers in the school's annual musical. That was it. He was hooked. Afterward, he starred as the lead in nearly every school play and musical from grade school through high school. Cliff then attended Indiana University where he took advantage of IU's acclaimed School of Theatre's acting classes. IU's School of Theatre includes many famous alumni such a Kevin Kline, Jonathan Banks, and Charles Kimbrough. After graduating from IU, Cliff moved to California to pursue both law school and acting. Cliff finished law school in Indianapolis, passed the bar, and began practicing law. But the acting bug is incurable, and Cliff has since rekindled his career in acting with several independent film and web productions.
