Andrew Walton is most known for his appearances as 'Welsh Whisperer', the Welsh country folk pop performer, radio presenter & television personality. He was born in Carmarthen in 1987 and raised in Cwmfelin Mynach. The Welsh Whisperer has made multiple appearances on Welsh network television as well as starring in a mockumentary of his own life in series 2 of The Cool Beans Television show on the Made In Television network in Wales and England. Alongside television appearances on Welsh popular culture programmes 'Ochr1','Y Lle' and the Saturday night entertainment show 'Noson Lawen & magazine show 'Heno' he has also made multiple radio appearances and live music sessions on BBC Radio Cymru. The Welsh Whisperer has produced and presented his own drivetime radio show for 102.5 Môn FM in Llangefni on the island of Anglesey since October 2014. He has also released a series of Welsh language comedy and music podcasts via Radio Beca. In October 2016 he was selected as a radio presenter on BBC Radio Cymru's online alternative radio pilot ' Radio Cymru MWY'. Following 3 live shows on this platform he was chosen to present a Friday night drivetime programme on BBC Radio Cymru's main national service. He is a monthly columnist for the 'Cardi Bach' newspaper in South West Wales. His musical comedy repertoire is based on re working mainly Welsh, Irish folk and American country & Western & folk music. His debut album 'Plannu Hedyn Cariad' (planting a seed of love) released on the Tarw Du record label has enjoyed much success in the Welsh media. In December 2016 his second album 'Y Dyn o Gwmfelin Mynach' (The Man from Cwmfelin Mynach) was released on both the Tarw Du & Fflach record labels. This album has enjoyed significant airtime on Welsh radio & television as well as impressive sales nationwide.
