Cuban born actress and dancer who began her career in the 1930's in her native Cuba. She began as a dancer who specialized in classical afro-cuban dances. The dancing eventually lead her into films and by the early 1940's she had settled in Mexico where she worked as both an actress and a dancer. In Mexican films she often played cabaret dancers and the other woman parts. Her most famous role being that of Isabel a mulatta dancer in love with the leading man in the film "Angelitos negros". She continued playing cabaret dancers right into her final film in 1955.
