Alex Gillaspy

Alexander Ramirez Gillaspy is an award-winning film director, writer and producer from Sacramento, CA. He has obtained his BA from University of California, Berkeley with a dual-degree in Film Media and English, and is an MFA recipient from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in Film Directing. He has 8 years of experience in film production, and has written, directed, and co-produced 3 award-winning short films. Outside of making his own films, Alexander also has extensive experience working as cinematographer and editor on a number of award winning productions. In addition, Alexander works in casting/talent acquisition, most recently as the background casting director on the Sundance nominated feature film, "The Evening Hour," directed by, Braden King.
