Eric Moscardo discovered the art of drama while he was a teaching-assistant in the United States, at Kalamazoo College, Michigan. There he studied drama, photography and film-making. Back in France he decided to become a professional actor. First he played for a year in Paris in "Savage/Love", the play written by the famous American author Sam Shepard and directed by Robert Cordier. Then, being of Malagasy origin by his father and Norman by his mother, he wrote and played for two years an autobiographical and humorous stand-up comedy "Le baobab Normand". He then played in many other plays. He has also played in many films and TV series, notably in Marceau Uguen's Memoria, a multi-award winning feature film for which he received the award for Best Supporting Actor at the Rome Prisma Independent Film Awards, and in the most popular French TV series "Plus belle la vie", in which he played Police Commissioner Alexandre Sartène for several episodes.
