Mohammed Al Housani

UAE National Mohammed Al Housani is a Combat Sports Film Producer. Born in the United Arab Emirates on 30th July 1984, he is an aspiring leader in sports with a short yet impressive track record in the field of sports and media, as well as cross competencies in managerial positions within sports entities in the UAE, especially specific Martial Arts disciplines such as Wrestling, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, and Kickboxing. A clear determination to promote Individual Sports in the region in order to create Olympic champions in fields that have a better chance of success than traditional Team Sports. Mohammed was assigned Official Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Commentator/Analyst for the OrbitShowtime Network's (OSN) live coverage of UFC 112 on April 10th , 2012, making him the 1st Arab commentator in the history of the UFC. An avid fan and follower of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) since 1997, he was one of the first from the region to join the UFC Fight Club in 2006 and become an Administrator and the 1st Super Moderator to the website forums of the premier MMA organization. After his first experience with MMA commentary with the UFC, he went on to commentate briefly for Abu Dhabi Fighting Championship (ADFC) on Abu Dhabi Sports TV and Dubai Fighting Championship (DFC) on Dubai Sports TV before going on to commentate for the biggest MMA organization in the Arab world, Desert Force, for MBC Action (2012-2014). Al Housani was also the Official Jiu-Jitsu Commentator/Analyst for Abu Dhabi Sports TV from May 2009 until April 2010, and has previously announced at the 2009 Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship and the 2010 Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship. Al Housani was also instrumental in encouraging and promoting individual sports in general and martial arts in specific across the UAE as the Assistant Secretary General of the Executive Office of the Wrestling, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, and Kickboxing Federation from May 2010 until May 2011. An active promoter of Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts in the region, Mohammed Al Housani has developed a number of websites aimed to promote awareness in the region, including the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Twitter account and the YouTube channel.
