American actress and performer, Courtney Eva Jones, is of Swedish, Norwegian and British descent and a classically trained dancer who studied under alumna of The Juilliard School. During her years in dance performance, acting for television, film and theatre were among her favorite hobbies. Courtney explored acting in studio movie productions, independent projects and new media works in drama, thriller, sci-fi, comedy, fantasy and action genres and ventured on camera in credited and uncredited work. Courtney also appeared in musical theatre productions throughout the Northeast in leading and supporting roles and she was recognized for her theatrical work by the Irene Ryan Foundation acting scholarship and The John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. Growing-up Courtney studied classical ballet five days a week, won talent competitions, performed at fairs, choreographed her high school's musicals and sports half-time show routines while she explored all avenues of performance available in her small rural town. Courtney even sought out and was offered an internship her senior year of high school that divided her time between academics and professional theatre training, however, she was prevented from attending due to an abusive and oppressive home-life. These and other more troubling family dynamics, forced Courtney to run away once as an adolescent, and then to raise herself alone throughout New England. Homeless and often living out of her car, Courtney held a variety of jobs between performing and slowly put herself through college classes. She worked as a model, live-performer, dishwasher, dance photographer, nanny, convenience store clerk, freelance writer, director of sales, administrative assistant, house cleaner and campaign intern as she studied fine arts, communications and law. A devastating knee injury in Boston in December 2012 halted all opportunities. Immobilized and requiring a lengthy and painful recovery period from 2013-2016, Courtney began songwriting as a way to cope with the pain, isolation and as a way to help retrain her body's dexterity. After a few years time she had written 1,000s of songs and recorded 100s of song-files while developing her own sound - a refreshing combination of pop, folk, soul and country. Courtney healed from additional injuries 2017-2019 convalescing in the Southeast, where she holds the state title Ms. Southeast Florida 2018 - her national campaign platform focused on Youth Advocacy and supported the Florida Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program. Courtney relocated to New York in 2020 to pursue a career in entertainment. As of 2021, Courtney resides in California as an actress and singer-songwriter.
