Lanisa can be seen as one of the lead cast members in Renaud Gauthier's comedy-horror feature "Aquaslash", which premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival in July 2019 and is now distributed in over 20 countries across the globe. She portrays the role of "Kimberley", a timid and shy lifeguard dealing with her overly controlling boyfriend while managing the sparks flying between her and an old flame. Lanisa recently guest-starred on the new french language television series "Les Mecs" directed by Ricardo Trogi, where she portrays the role of "Wendy"; a self-assured feminist & intellectual young woman obtaining her Master's degree in French Literature, while in a relationship with a professor twice her age. Other film and TV credits include Daniel Roby's "Most Wanted", CBC television "The Detectives", and as recurring characters in two Quebec web-series - the award nominated "L'Ascenseur" on ici tou TV playing the role of "Sandra" an overtly obnoxious millennial, and "Oh My Lord!" on VRAK TV playing the role of "Dorothy", a British YouTube celebrity. Working on a number of short films, she was the co-lead in "Lust" which was nominated for screening at TIFF. In 2014, Lanisa was hired by an overseas theatrical company as "Resident Actress" during a one year tenure. Throughout the year with the company, she portrayed a variety of colorful characters while touring & performing all over Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangzhou China. Lanisa was also a workshop facilitator, leading drama workshops for youth. Lanisa first started acting in the musical theatre scene in Montreal, performing in shows at the Centaur, Segal Centre, and Rialto Theatre. Presently, she continues to train with renowned acting coaches and teachers in Montreal and abroad, believing deeply in the value of continued exercise and development of the craft of acting. Lanisa studied acting in the Professional Theatre Program at Dawson College for two years. In 2013, she trained in the Summer Conservatory Program at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC. Also a singer-songwriter, she released her first single called "Witness" which garnered attention and features in a number of international blogs. Her next single "First Look" was released in August 2019, a fun summer anthem that spreads good vibes to its listeners!
