Julia Balayan is an award-winning director, producer, and editor. In 2014, Julia attended Glendale Community College, where she studied Film Productions. While attending Glendale Community College, Julia also took the time to work at the Film Department as a Media Lab Assistant. In 2015, she left the Media Lab Assistant position and transferred to California State University, Los Angeles to pursue B.A. in Television, Film, & Media Studies. In 2016, Julia interned at Good Citizen Media Group in South Pasadena, where she assisted in all aspects of video and photographic communications. In the same year, she was hired by the Cornel School of Contemporary Music as a Social Media Intern. There she organized digital images according to a purpose and designated program categories and updates social media accounts with current and relevant photos and video. Currently, she continues her studies at California State University, Los Angeles, where she also works for the Student Production Unit as a Media Coordinator. In this position, she organizes digital media according to content. Furthermore, she works as a student assistant for the Department of Television, Film, & Media Studies at California State University, Los Angeles. As a student assistant, Julia assists students with video and audio editing and checks out camera equipment.
