Taku Takeuchi

Born on 20 May 1987 in Iiyama, Japan, Taku Takeuchi is a professional ski jumper who has been competing since 2006. In 2008 he achieved his best personal jump of 207,5 m in Planica. Participated at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver where he placed on 5th place in the team event. Takeuchi won two medals from World Championships over the years - one gold in the mixed normal hill in 2013 in Val di Fiemme and one bronze in Falun in 2015. The proudest moment in his career was winning the bronze Olympic medal in the team large hill competition in Sochi in 2014. His best individual result is 2nd place in Klingenthal in 2013. On 22 February 2016 finished 3rd after more than 2 years absence on the podium. Takeuchi is married and welcomed his first child in February 2016.
