Henok Mebratu

Henok Mebratu is a self-taught filmmaker born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Due to the lack of professionals in the local industry, Henok had to learn different trades in filmmaking including Screenwriting, Editing, Visual Effects, Sound Design, Graphics Design, Cinematography and producing. His heart is mainly in directing and animation. Henok is best known for providing all-rounded fixing services for production crews coming to Ethiopia. He is among the very few Ethiopian filmmakers who have a strong connection within the continent and beyond. Henok has participated in A-class film festivals like Cannes and Berlinale.
