Julien Robert was born on 11 December 1974 in Grenoble, France. He is a retired biathlete. His first year in the sport was 1992 and he made his World Cup debut in 1994. Robert participated in 3 Winter Olympics Games in 1998 in Nagano, 2002 in Salt Lake City and 2006 in Turin. He won 2 bronze medals from relay events in 2002 and 2006. His best personal result at any Olympics is 6th in the 20 km Individual in 2006 in Turin. Robert had a very steady, solid shooting but his skiing times weren't fast. However he was a valuable member of the French team who managed to finish 12 times in the Top 10 during his career. His best individual result was 3rd place in his favorite discipline - the 20 km Individual during the 2000-2001 season. Julien Robert came 4th once in the mass start in Oberhof in 2004-2005, twice 5th in the Individual and pursuit in Brezno-Osrblie in 2003-2004, twice 6th in the mass start in Antholz-Anterselva in 2002-2003 and the Individual in Turin in 2005-2006. Robert participated in World Championships from 1997 to 2008. He won 2 medals in the relay - one gold in Pokljuka in 2001 and one bronze in Oberhof in 2004. His personal best positioning in World Championships ever is 17th in the Individual in 2001. The best overall finish he had was 20th in 2002-2003. Announced his retirement in 2008. Julien Robert was married to Olympic gold medalist from the pursuit in 2006 in Turin, Florence Baverel. They have one daughter, Rose. Now they are divorced.
