Born in Delhi, Shivangi went on to pursue film direction and writing leaving her much lucrative PhD degree. An alumna of Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, she started her career with simple and sweet 'A Hairy tale' and bold, thought provoking 'Tremors.' She won accolades at major national and international film festivals for both of these short films. She holds a bachelors degree from Delhi University and a Masters degree from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. She is known for her work as Associate Director and Editor on Hindi feature film, 'The River of Love' and as an Associate Director on many other feature films including 'T for Taj Mahal', 'Maqam', 'Chakki' and 'Dhuusar'. Her affection and love for cinema has made her grow roots in Mumbai.
