Ella Kendall was born in Los Angeles, CA to longtime L.A. natives. Ella's mother is Cindy Kendall, director of photography, editor and commercial director, and her Uncle is William Kendall - a multi-platform storyteller, writer of television (Under the Dome), and producer of digital series (Battlestar Galactica). Her great-grandfather, Raymond Kendall, was the Dean of Music at USC for 20 years and the President of the Performing Arts Council at the Los Angeles Music Center. He passed down many stories of the great musical theater and movie composers, singers and musicians of the 1940's, with whom he shared many unforgettable experiences. Ella's Great Uncle, O.B. Johnston, worked with Walt Disney, from the early 1930's...as V.P. of Character Merchandising. He witnessed and told fantastic stories of the profound effect Walt's creations had worldwide as a hopeful, unifying factor for humanity. These stories too have been a part of what inspires Ella to tell stories that, she says, "make people realize we all feel the same things". Ella loves nothing more than being on set, loving equally both intense dramatic and comedic roles. She can't wait to go to acting classes between shows and auditions. As an infant, Ella would hum and smile when she heard music. Now she loves most the chance to sing harmony and "getting to sing the great songs". She is the lead singer of a garage band called The Couch, which is particularly fond of covering Beatles Songs. She is focusing on learning to play the piano, but also loves to play harmonica, ukelele and guitar. She performs in two musical theater companies throughout the year, is a soloist in her current youth choir, and has performed on Hallmark's Home & Family morning television show with her former youth choir. She also loves to dance (jazz, ballet, tap, and hip-hop) and has been dancing to music with great passion since before she could walk and talk (Ella's family called it her "floor dancing"). Ella loves to be funny and to watch funny shows. Her favorite shows are Liv and Maddie, Modern Family, 30 Rock, Glee and Parks and Recreation. She has 30 Rock and Parks and Rec episodes recorded as audio tracks and listens to them at bedtime to fall asleep laughing....
