Tommy Kang is a Brooklyn-born Asian-American actor, comedian, writer, and martial artist, with credits including HBO's Divorce, Young Grasshopper, The Blacklist. Tommy's work has earned him awards and roles in pilots, premium cable, comedy shorts, and independent film. The grandson of one of the original nine Taekwondo grandmasters, Tommy has been learning martial arts since he was 4, teaching since age 12, and became a certified master at 19. Tommy's pilot Young Grasshopper, a dramatic comedy about teaching his family's Taekwondo style in inner-city Brooklyn, was an official selection and finalist at HBO & The Television Academy's ITVFest, where Tommy also won Best Comedy Actor. As a stand up comedian, Tommy has performed at NYC staples like Gotham Comedy Club, Caroline's, Broadway Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, The Stand, and many more. He's performed at festivals like SXSW and MAGFest, and he hosts regular comedy shows at venues all around the city. Tommy lives in New York where he writes and produces comedy content.
