Damian Alpizar

Professional Director, Producer, and VFX Supervisor, Damian Alpizar is passionate about inspiring his viewers through the power of visual storytelling. Born in Cuba, but raised in the state of Florida, Damian has worked in New York, L.A. and for companies across the globe. Damian is known to use innovative techniques in filmmaking, thereby delivering exceptional visual experiences that delight and inform the world. In his 18 years of production and VFX supervision experience, Damian is committed to achieving the goal of a project by making sure productions run smoothly, meet deadlines, and stay within budgets. As a VFX Supervisor, his goal is to breathe life into producers' and directors' stories and their on/off set experiences. He has an ardent eye for detail, demonstrates resourcefulness and works tirelessly to ensure each production gets the attention it deserves. Damian has multiple films and TV productions to his credits in his years of working as a VFX Supervisor and Producer. To mention but a few: 'Bernie The Dolphin 1 & 2' - a Lionsgate and AMBI distribution film where he worked as a second unit supervisor for VFX shots and Dolphin underwater photography; 'Allison' - a short film where he was overseeing CGI art direction and set extension designs. Damian was also the writer/producer of the iHorror's fan film 'Nightmare: Return to Elm Street' (2018), - a film winning Syfy Wire's #1 spot for Freddy Fan Films and boasting over 10 million combined views. At the moment, Damian is overseeing a variety of commercials for many beauty and product brands like Keith Urban Guitars, Serena Williams, Beauty Bio, Pria Beauty, and Perlier to name a few. Professionally, his expertise lies as a CGI Generalist, VFX Compositor, Practical Effects Supervisor, Producer, Motivativator, Quick Thinker, and Animal Photography Supervisor. Damian enjoys being challenged professionally and nurtures a strong relationship with various departments on set to create a good working coalition with a common goal. The multi-award winner is the recipient of three Telly Awards and two Addys for Animation and Production. Seeking to impact his passion to many, he mentors student VFX artists at the Art Institute of Tampa.
