Todd McNutt was born November 26, 1961 to Stanley Hugh McNutt and Catherine Dianne Dunham-McNutt in Ottumwa, Iowa. The family moved to Peoria, Il and then St. Louis, MO before ending up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In St. Louis, Todd became involved in Drama programs in both his school and church, but being more comfortable off stage, at the age of 16 he was running the sound mixer for his church and tent revival meetings in the area. When the family moved to Oklahoma in January of 1979, Todd was just 17 years old and he got involved in the church audio department and in the school drama department. Todd focused on learning theatrical lighting more than acting and taking a creative writing class, he wrote and co-directed a high school play with his drama teacher, Mrs. Kingsoliver. Shortly after high school graduation, Todd was an extra and the stand-in for Emilio Estevez on the set of the movie "Tex" in Tulsa. He went on from there to work in live musical production lighting for college/church groups such as Proclamation, out of Grace Fellowship in Tulsa and then toured with Janny Grien as her sound man and personal assistant. His interests grew as he worked with the Oral Roberts University - Music Ministries Program for five years expanding from sound to concert lighting and even becoming licensed in pyrotechnics, where he Produced and Directed the entire lighting and special effects and explosives for a LIVE concert album recording of the "Souls-a-Fire" in Christ's Chapel on the ORU campus. Todd claims he is the only person he knows of who was ever allowed to detonate concussion pyrotechnics in the building with numerous windows. Todd also delved into the arena of Concert Promotion and put together a Riverside Amphitheater concert with Russ Taff in the late 1980's which was co-promoted by Little Wing Productions in Tulsa. Todd provided his expertise in pyrotechnics for a LIVE concert recording with Carman in the Brady Theater in Tulsa and then all but disappeared from the music industry. Todd went into the production department of Tulsa TV-41, then an Independent TV station where he wrote, cast, directed, edited and produced special programs and TV commercials. Todd was a Producer and Floor Director for the LIVE TV talk show, "Ask Tulsa" with the Host, Bob Davis. The station was purchased by a network after a couple of years and all local production was stopped. Todd maintained his contact with lighting production through his church, RHEMA BIBLE CHURCH in Tulsa, where he set and operated the theatrical lighting for numerous theatrical productions in their 5,000 seat auditorium. But through the 1990's Todd worked with computers and serves to locate people for media outlets such as "People Magazine" until he was caught in the middle of several lies told by the magian regarding Joseph Buttafoucco of New Jersey, Todd then wrote his first book, "Other People's Secrets" and toured the U.S. doing signings and media interviews on privacy. When the Clinton Administration rolled out their proposal to restructure the Internet, Todd released his expose' on their proposal titles, "The Information Superhighway: The Road to Utopia or the Ultimate Fraud" the book had limited success and the negative media attention the plan drew from Todd and others put the whole idea on hold. In 2003, Todd wrote his third book, "False Sense of Security" which has not yet been released but is in re-write and editing. In 2013, Todd launched a LIVE Internet stream, "FYI on Location" which has had limited success. In 2014, Todd took on the LIVE Streaming of "What is Reality" with Jim Hockaday. Previously, the weekly Bible Study was held in a local Library in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm central time, Todd took his Ustream channel with FYI and has Produced and Directed the show since, turning the Camera Operation and Directing over to Chuck Price about a year ago, Todd still Produces the show and streams it live, weekly on the FYI channel. During the first part of his time off of Directing, Todd spent a couple of months driving the Tour Bus for Johnnie Lee, famous for the 1980's hit, "Looking' for Love", Todd says he is an even bigger fan after spending the time on the road with the Country Music Legend. As of May 2016, Todd is putting together a feature film, "The Spy Witness" about a young man who gets a drone for all the wrong reasons and becomes the spy witness to a murder.
