Born near the coast in SYDNEY, Australia, POPPY LYNCH loves the surf and the sand. She trained as a ballet dancer until her late teenage hood, and with performing parents, she was raised in an environment that nurtured her love of performing. She is an actor and voiceover artist with a passion for music and movement. Aside from acting and performing, Yoga is a craft that she uses to connect herself to her work. In 2020 she founded her own corporate and private Yoga teaching business. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Acting) from WAAPA in 2019. Before starting her studies at WAAPA she performed in multiple shows at Kings Cross Theatre including 'Leaves' Dir. Rachel Chant and 'Osama the Hero' Dir. Richard Hilliar. For her performance in 'Leaves' she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. She has also been a valued member of ATYP since 2015. Film credits include the short film 'Be Famous' which was selected for the Cannes Short Film Festival Corner, HY_BRAIN for WASA Dir. Jessica Russel which aired on Channel 9 in 2019, as well as 'Back to the Rafters' for Channel 7 Studios and Amazon. Stage highlights include her performance as Juliet in Michael Jenn's 'Romeo and Juliet' at the State Theatre Centre WA and her role as Marcia in Martin Crimps adaptation of 'The Misanthrope'. She has been part of multiple developments such as developing and performing in 'Normal' Dir. Rachel Chant for the Festival Fatale. In 2021 she is set to be in 'Honour' at the Ensemble Theatre, and is so excited to get back onto the stage.
