Michal Slesingr was born on 3 February 1983 in Ústí nad Orlicí, Czech Republic. He is a professional biathlete. His first year in the sport was 2000 and he made his World Cup debut on 26 January 2002. Slesingr competed in 3 Winter Olympic Games - in 2006 in Turin, 2010 in Vancouver and 2014 in Sochi. His best results are with the relay team where placed 6th in 2006 and 7th in 2007. As for his performance in the individual disciplines, a 16th place in the 15 km mass start in Vancouver in 2010. Slesingr won 3 medals from World Championships during his career. One gold with the mixed relay in 2015 in Kontiolahti, one silver in the sprint and bronze in the Individual in 2007 in Antholz-Anterselva. He has one World Cup victory in the 15 km mass start in Holmenkollen on 16 March 2008. He has 11 individual podiums. For instance Slesingr finished three times 2nd during his career - in the Individual in Östersund in 2011-2012 and in the sprints in Antholz-Anterselva in 2006-2007 and in Fort Kent in 2010-2011. Also he finished 7 times at 3rd position in the sprint, pursuit and mass start disciplines over the years. His successful career registered finishes at 4th place 7 times in different individual biathlon races. Michal Slesingr is happily married since 2012. He and his wife, Petra welcomed their first child, a daughter named Victoria.
