Zina Kocher

Zina Kocher was born on 5 December 1982 in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. She is a professional biathlete. Her first year in the sport was 1998 and she made her World Cup debut in 2001. Kocher participated in three Winter Olympic Games during her career - in 2006 in Turin, 2010 in Vancouver and 2014 in Sochi. Her best result was coming at 8th position with the Canadian relay team in 2014. Her personal best was 27th in the Individual event in 2006. Kocher took part in World Championships since 2003. Mostly her best performance was with the relay finishing 9th in Pyeongchang in 2009. As for her individual best result at World Championships, it's 18th place in the pursuit 2007 in Antholz-Anterselva. Zina Kocher has achieved one individual podium so far on the World Cup tour. She placed 3rd in the 15 km Individual in Ostersund in 2006-2007. That same season Kocher finished 6th in the sprint in Hochfilzen, 8th again in the sprint in Ruhpolding and 10th in the mass start in Pokljuka. During the 2009-2010 season, she made it in the Top 10 twice - in Pokljuka in the sprint and the following pursuit. Two years later, in 2011-2012, Zina Kocher managed to finish 9th three times - in the sprint and mass start in Khanty-Mansyisk and the pursuit in Kontiolahti. Her best finish in the overall was at number 19 at the end of that very season. She was part of the famous group of five biathletes alongside her Canadian teammates - Megan Tandy, Sandra Keith, Rosanna Crawford, and Megan Imrie, who posed for the Bold Beautiful Biathlon calendar.
