Justis Selman

Justis Selman was raised in the inner city Brooklyn, NY, where many dreams and desires came his way. When he was 7, his father began to see the outgoing character his son was growing into and enrolled Justis into improv classes. Although he was good at the art, Justis did not like improv. Instead he aspired to be an astronaut and fell in love with outer space. At the age of 12, Justis started falling in love with planes, and then wanted to be a fighter pilot for the Air Force. Television shows such as, Criminal Minds, and Law and Order also sparked interest in the justice system. By the age of 15, he had it figured out. Justis realized that the chances of him being an FBI agent, fighter pilot, and astronaut in one lifetime is unlikely, but he watches people on TV play the roles of the person he wanted to be. He then realized that acting was his route. Through acting, Justis could be an astronaut, FBI agent, Lawyer, or a Mall Cop. At the age of 16, Justis started to pursue his new aspiration and made a Backstage account, were he'd apply for dozens of gigs at a time. In October of 2015, Justis had his first experience on a movie set. An independent filmmaker, Daniel Sole, writer of Crowd Control gave Justis a role in his film, exposing him to the acting world and giving him his first experience.
