Giuseppe Abbà was born in North London in 1997 to Sarah Walkley and Massimiliano Abbà. His father is Italian, who's ancestry is Roman and Arabian. His mother is of English decent. Giuseppe is a filmmaker based in Cumbria in the UK, who began making films at the age of 10. He has since developed his skills to a professional standard, recently becoming involved with various film festivals, as well as branching out into documentary. His first success in film came from the Cumbria Short Film Competition; a local short film festival in which he won 1st place in the under 18s category, when he was 16 years old. Later that year, he took part in the BFI Academy, a course taught in partnership with Signal Films, tailored to teaching young filmmakers to hone their skills and produce films of a professional level. Abbà graduated from this course in early 2014, gaining a Level 2 Silver Arts Award, from Trinity College London. That same year, he began a two year course in Level 3 Film Production at Kendal College, which he then graduated in August of 2016, having furthered his skills in cinematography and directing, producing several short films over the 2 year period. One such film, Resting Space, was accepted into the Bath Film Festival, earning Giuseppe his first IMDb credit. Giuseppe continues to make short films, ever expanding his skill set and high standards, with hopes to eventually move on to features.
