Marcus started off his media career as co-creator of a comedy podcast which garnered around 40,000+ life time downloads, sitting around the top 100 podcasts on iTunes and featuring regularly on the homepage in the New & Noteworthy section. Registering a company named Fresh Take Media, he built up a raft of contacts within the music industry shooting music videos, creating a web series that amassed over 100,000 organic views, promotional content, red carpet interviews and festival content. His MA graduation documentary, Bubzy (2015), won a notable mention award at Let's All Be Free Festival 2016 in the Documentary category. Marcus was then headhunted by a top 50 production company to become a Video Producer creating corporate and social media content internationally for Philips, Tesco and British Gas over the course of three years. Recently Marcus was selected to attend the 2017 B3 Media Talent Lab where he was given funding to develop his script on human trafficking titled Caterpillar. One of his most recent projects, No Exposure (2018), which is about a young videographer who films low budget music videos in order to fund himself as a carer, is travelling the festival circuit and was recently shown at the BFI Southbank as a part of the BIFA Accredited SOUL Film Connect event. As a result of No Exposure, Marcus was selected by the National Film and Television School to attend the MA Directing Fiction course from 2019, where he is working on honing his craft and developing future projects. His newest film, Swing (2019) is a black comedy drama that follows an elderly lady's journey to the beginnings of grief and is currently travelling around festivals.
