Shane Morrisun is a multi-talented Producer and Director based in Park City, Utah. Shane started with the goal of becoming an actor. However, the more projects he found himself working on, both in front of and behind the camera, the more excited he became about working on and creating projects of his own. Shane started acting as a child in California and landed his first television guest starring role when he was 11 on a series from Willie Aames (Buddy from Charles in Charge) called BibleMan. He moved to Utah a couple years later in 1996. He continued with his training and theater work in high school and took film acting classes from UVU after graduating. He got married and had his first child, and after being scammed by a local acting agency, He took a break from acting to work in several various jobs to support his growing family. He slowly returned to acting 15 years later starting with a few background roles in various feature films and television, then got another agent and started auditioning again. He began networking at acting classes and with local filmmakers and was asked to work as crew on a few local independent films. He began learning as much as he could about filmmaking by teaching himself through reading books and watching videos online and learning through experience on set. After meeting his partner and writer, Shytei Corellian, he decided to follow through and make his own film (The Wolf). Calling in all the favors he did for other local filmmakers, he had them come help him with his first film; discovering he had a natural talent both behind the camera and in post production. He turned his film "The Wolf" into a longer version with different time periods called "The Wolves". Shane has experience in all aspects of filmmaking, and has worked in every department in film production, from Below-the-Line roles such as PA, G&E, Art Department, Sound, Assistant Directing, Script Supervision, and Director of Photography, to Above-the-Line Acting, Directing, and Producing. He has won numerous awards for his Directorial debut on the short films, "The Wolf" and "The Wolves," as well as for Cinematography on the short film, "Satanico." He started his own Production company in 2020 called Free Reign Films and a YouTube channel by the same name where he releases short film content. He is in development for several feature films. As an up and coming filmmaker, Shane is skilled at developing an idea, enriching and guiding it onto the screen in a capable and efficient manner, with exceptional results. With over 50 film credits, he has developed the ability to stay cool under pressure and quickly think of solutions to any problems that arise. No matter what is thrown at him, Shane will not only catch it, but improve upon it.
