Daniel Covarrubias started acting in the year of 2016 by attending Kim Dawson Conservatory college of film and dramatic arts, completing the acting program and receiving his Associates of arts degree. He started performing on stage in 2017 when he made his debut in theater by performing a lead role in the play "Death of a salesman" by writer Arthur Miller, following by his appearance as a lead role in the play "The glass menagerie" by writer Tennessee Williams. Also in 2017 he made his debut in Television by making an appearance in USA's Network, TV series "Queen of the south". Later on, he made appearances in shows such as "Scandal made me famous" and "Breaks of the game." A major turning point in his career came when in 2017 he started the drama short film "Help wanted" acclaimed by experts and critics, winning Best Picture award at the Dallas film festival, making it official selection for Austin film festival and other film festivals in the U.S. After that his career grew exponentially in 2018 with his films on diverse subject's like "The missing piece" directed by (Emmy award winner) Cady McClain. He was also part of another short film called "Sequester" by award winner director Frank Fuentes. This year he had a small appearance in HBO's series INSECURE.
