Andy Mallinson, is a British actor, presenter and voice-over artist. Born Andrew Richard Mallinson, Andy was born in Chesterfield in Derbyshire, England, in 1978. Family Background The son of the late actress, singer and elocution teacher Susan Colledge, later known as Sue Mallinson and son of actor, and sales manager Stuart Mallinson. His maternal grand mother was also the Chesterfield performer and elocution teacher, Molly Francis. Education and Early Career After graduating High School and Sixth Form College in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, Andy continued his education gaining a degree in Biological Sciences from Durham University. Prior to acting, Andy was an office manager for the London software company Smartlogic and later an operations manager at the Handel and Hendrix Museum in the Mayfair district of London. Andy gained his first moment speaking on television on the British ITV soap "Coronation Street". His first paid speaking engagement on BBC television was in the BBC production of "City and the City" to be aired in the spring of 2018. In 2017 Andy began regularly contributing to "Thought for day" and the newspaper reviews at the BBC. In March 2017 Andy joined Becky Want as a co-presenter on BBC Radio Manchester as part of their Over To You season. That year, he also took a part in that station's nativity play. Andy continues working as actor and presenter and voice-over artist.
