Sarah Merrell (born 1983) is an American born actress and model. Merrell began acting at a young age in theatre performances and on a drama team in her home town of Asheville, NC. She went on to study film, media production and screen writing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she appeared in student films and plays and also coached other actors. While at UNC, Merrell modeled in a variety of fashion shows and photo shoots and began landing published work in magazines. After obtaining a Masters of Business Administration degree from Western Carolina University in 2007, Merrell began building her experience appearing in television commercials. Her television commercial credits include Ruby Tuesday, Home Federal Bank, Medicare.com, Dollywood Splash Country, Diamond Brand, Frugal Backpacker, Pigeon Forge Travel and Tourism and WLOS News. Since 2007, she has also appeared in ad campaigns for national brands like Simplicity, PetSafe and Royal Enfield. Sarah Merrell's television career began shortly after. She is best known for the Travel Channel's Xtreme Waterparks, AMC's Ride with Norman Reedus, Oxygen's Snapped: Killer Couples and Investigation Discovery's Homicide Hunters. Now an acting teacher and public relations director for Gage Models & Talent Agency in Knoxville, Tennessee, Sarah Merrell continues to act in television episodes and commercials, and directs photo shoots and fashion shows. She values philanthropy work and serves as a mentor for Big Brothers and Sisters Mentor 2.0 program and for Tennessee Achieves.
