Nic Yulo is a children's book author and writer-director based in NYC, where she works on everything from picture books to AAA video games. A graduate of the Columbia University M.F.A Film program, her work has received an Alfred P. Sloan Screenwriting Award, a Breaking Barriers Grant for Female Directors, and an Adobe Design Achievement Award. A New York Women in Film & Television Scholarship Awardee, she is a finalist for the SFFilm Rainin Grant, a Columbia Blue List winner, and has been recognized by Adobe Top Talent, SeriesFest and Big Swing Productions' Women Screenwriting Competition, the BlueCat Screenplay Competition, and Shondaland. Nic is a writer for Ubisoft's AAA game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, and its Splinter Cell, Terminator, Future Soldier, and Rainbow Six Siege, and Operation Motherland episodes. In 2021, Nic was inducted, as a game writer, into the BAFTA Newcomers Program. She also served as a juror for the 2022 BAFTA Games Awards. Nic's debut picture book, Patch of Sky, was sold in a four-house auction and will be published by Dial Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Penguin Random House, in the Summer of 2022.
