Victoria Silverwood

Dr Victoria Silverwood is a Criminologist and Ethnographer at Birmingham City University, UK. With a background in criminal defence law, Victoria returned to academia to complete two masters degrees in Criminology (2009); and Social Research Methods (2010). Her PhD (completed 2015) is entitled "Five for Fighting: The Culture and Practice of Violence in Professional Ice Hockey". Victoria has studied the use of violence in professional hockey for the past ten years and is currently writing two books on the subject for publication in 2017.
