Racquel Townsend

Racquel Townsend was born on March 27, 1988, on the southeast side of Chicago. Racquel has been performing since age 8, but she found her love for acting while playing the role of Popova, in the classic Anton Chekhov play, The Bear, in high school. She noticed that it was her therapy through hard times and wanted to touch people the way acting touches her. In the spring of 2014, she decided it was time to act full time, this is when she migrated to Atlanta. She has been trained at the fine arts college, Columbia College Chicago; The renown, Second City Chicago, and Drama INC, Atlanta. She also has studied creative writing at Full Sail University. Racquel looks forward to the growth of her career through not just acting, she also writes and plans to direct in the near future.
