Talented vocalist of early television, and recordings (Kay Kyser Orchestra). Born in Indianapolis, Bennett grew up in New York City and attended Syracuse University. Following college, she joined the cast of a Broadway revue, "Small Wonder," and then began her television career. After moving with her husband to Massachusetts in the 1950s, she became a Boston television personality. In the 1960s she began a new career as a voice-over performer; her work in voice-overs continued until 2000. Survivors include her husband (Waldo Fielding) of 52 years and two sons.
