Doroteo Benavente

Doroteo Benavente was born in 1909 in a little village in Toledo, Spain. Having studied teaching he began to teach until the Spanish Civil War caused him to run away from the national forces to establish himself in Murcia, Spain with his spouse and daughters. In Murcia he combined teaching and writing for local newspapers and radio magazines until his death. His two daughters have inherited his passion for teaching, writing and radio.
