Jay was most recently the CEO of Talpa Media USA, the American arm of Dutch media giant Talpa, based in The Netherlands, and founded by John de Mol. As the highest ranking American in the global organization, he managed Talpa's U.S. on-air slate, as Executive Producer of The Voice (NBC) and The Voice Kids (Telemundo). While there, he went into business with multiple buyers with shows such as Divided (GSN), Cannonball (USA Network), Laugh and You Lose (TBS), Top Puppet (NBC) and was forging development deals at E! and A&E. In addition to developing projects with Conan O'Brien, Christina Aguilera, Craig Ferguson, Jenny McCarthy, Rev Run, and the NFL, Bienstock created additional revenue streams by building the Talpa music library, creating production office facilities, and readying the launch of The Voice residency in Las Vegas for spring 2019, a nightly live show highlighting former artists from the television series. Prior to Talpa, Bienstock, along with business partner Eugene Young, built their shingle - Bienstock Young Media - from scratch. They quickly established themselves as a quality production company, selling and producing projects to broadcasters such as CBS, A&E, TLC, CMT, Animal Planet, as well as the series Animal Intervention for Nat Geo Wild and Time's Up for MTV. Three short years after it's successful launch, Bienstock Young Media was absorbed into A Smith & Co., owned by UK based Tinopolis, who's programs included Hell's Kitchen and American Ninja Warrior. Bienstock was installed as Managing Director where he oversaw current programming and developed one of their highest profile cable programs - Ellen's Design Challenge starring Ellen DeGeneres - for HGTV. He has amassed a list of accolades including 3 Emmy wins, 5 additional nominations, along with winning "Producer of the Year in Non-Fiction Television" by the Producer's Guild, and "Program of the Year" by the Television Critics Association. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Producer's Guild of America, and the TV Academy Reality Programming Peer Group Executive Committee.
