New York Times Bestselling Author and Screenwriter. Black is the co-author of Nothing General About It: How Love and Lithium Saved Me (HarperCollins, April, 2020) and is currently writing her next book. Previously a staff writer at Warner Bros. Pictures, Black is also an alumnus of the American Film Institute Conservatory drama program. In addition to rewrites for hire and projects in development with various production companies over the years, Black's produced screenwriting credits include NBC's award-winning A Year In The Life; HBO's State of Emergency, for which she received the PEN Literary Award and CableACE and Humanitas nominations; and Showtime's Tapestries of Hope, shot in Zimbabwe, which she also produced, among others. Born in North Carolina, Black grew up in Virginia and resides in California.
